Ubud is more than just the cultural heart of Bali—it’s the perfect place to relax, explore, and connect with nature before or after your surf sessions.
A must-visit is the Ubud Monkey Forest, where ancient temples sit within lush jungle and hundreds of monkeys roam freely. Just outside town, the Tegallalang Rice Terrace offers sweeping green landscapes, especially beautiful at sunrise. History lovers can visit the Ubud Palace, still home to the royal family, and in the evening enjoy a traditional Balinese dance performance. For shopping, the Ubud Art Market is the place to find unique crafts, textiles, and souvenirs.
If you’re looking for nature escapes, the Tegenungan Waterfall provides a refreshing swim spot just a short drive away, while the iconic Ubud Swing gives you panoramic jungle views. For a deeper spiritual connection, the Tirta Empul Temple lets you take part in a centuries-old water purification ritual.
Although Ubud is inland, it’s perfectly located to reach Bali’s east coast surf spots. With our door-to-door transport, you can combine a stay in Ubud with daily surf adventures.
One of the closest breaks is Keramas Beach, famous for its powerful right-hand waves and even international surf competitions—best for intermediates and advanced surfers. For a more local experience, Padang Galak near Sanur offers consistent waves with fewer crowds, making it a great choice for relaxed sessions. If you’re new to surfing, Lebih Beach with its black sand and gentler waves is perfect for beginners to practice in a safe environment.
Staying in Ubud gives you the best of both worlds: cultural richness and natural beauty in town, plus easy access to Bali’s authentic surf breaks by the coast.
